CPanel Statistics Tools Overview

There are many logs and statistics available to use inside of your cPanel. This article will help explain how to use these tools to find statistics about your account.

Stats

On the left hand side of your cPanel screen you will see a Box titles Stats. This box will give you a summary of your account statistics. You can click on “expand stats” to see a more complete summary.

This will include information about how many Addon domains are being used, Memory Usage, CPU usage, and more.

Logs

In your cPanel you will also see a section titled “Logs”. This section includes the statistic tools available to monitor your account.

Choose Log Programs

This tool will allow you to select which logs you wish to enable on your account. If you are not seeing stats available for your website, you will want to check here to make sure that they are enabled.

Latest Visitors Stats

This tool will display up to 1,000 of the most recent visitors for a given domain’s web site. It will show you the visiting IP address, when they accessed your site, the device and operating system the visitor used to access the site, what site they went to, and the URL that referred them to your site.

Bandwidth

This function allows you to see the bandwidth usage for your site. It shows the current month’s bandwidth usage, as well as your total bandwidth usage.

This will include all HTTP (web) and POP (mail) bandwidth usage, and may include FTP bandwidth usage. To see your bandwidth usage for past months, you can simply scroll down and click on the pie chart for more details about a specific month.

Raw Access Logs

This allows you to see who has visited your website without displaying graphs, charts or other graphics. You can use the Raw Access Logs menu to download a zipped version of the server’s access log for your site.

This can be very useful when you want to quickly be able to see who is visiting your site. Here you will have the option to configure when these logs are archived, or stored.

Keep in mind when making this configuration that log files do use disk space, so you will want to manage this wisely to avoid consuming too much disk space with your logs. From this area, you will also be able to download a copy of your access logs to your local machine.

Awstats

This produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. To view these statistics, click on the View icon to the right of the domain name for the statistics you would like to use. This is an excellent tool to view your website statistics.

You can view a complete article explaining Awstats in depth by clicking here.

Resource Usage

This tool will give a summary of the resources that your site has been using. You can view usage stats from up to the last 30 days. You can see the CPU usage (or disk space), your Virtual Memory usage, Entry Processes, and Faults for the time period selected.
