Professional email addresses to match your domain

If you register the website domain name www.companyname.com, all your emails will end ‘@companyname.com’. However, you can choose various prefixes to come before the @ symbol. You might want to use your first name or your full name, or set up dedicated accounts@ and enquiries@ addresses for dealing with customer queries. We recommend info@ for generic email accounts which will be serving multiple roles, or accounts where more than one person will be checking them.

When an email account has been created, there is an SMTP Ramp Up period to prevent the creation of brand-new accounts to spam. The sending is limited to 50 per day for the first 7 days. After that, the limit increases to 8,000 messages per day.

It depends whether or not you’ll be sending and receiving high volumes of messages. A typical textonly email will only occupy a few kilobytes of space, so you could send hundreds of thousands of messages before your storage allocation became full. However, attachments can quickly mount up. If you sign up for a Personal Email account, you can upgrade to Professional at any time, and we’ll let you know that your storage is filling up long before your 2GB limit is reached. Plus, you can always delete old emails, remove attachments you’ve already downloaded (or sent to other people), or archive them in offline storage like .PST folders.
