Transfer your domain to UK2

GoDaddy

1. 1. Log-in to your GoDaddy Account Manager, select Domain and then click Launch. You need to unlock your domain, so deselect Lock Domain, then press OK.
2. 2. Make a note of the authorisation code that’s given to you and select that you want it to be sent to the administrator of the domain (via email).
3. 3. If you have Protected Registration or DBP Private Registration with GoDaddy, you will need to cancel this if you want to transfer your domain away from them. To do this, you’ll need to submit the request form entitled ‘Protected Registration Cancellation’, which is available on the GoDaddy site.
4. 4. Next, you need to start the transfer process on the UK2 website. Click on the Domain Names tab on the homepage, select Domain Transfers from the drop-down menu, then enter the domain you want to transfer in the transfer box and hit the Transfer button.
5. 5. The next stage is to hit the check-out.

   NOTE: With the exception of .uk domain names, you won’t be able to transfer a domain name if it has not been released by your original provider. You can’t transfer if it’s less than 60 days since you bought the domain, either.
6. 6. Log-in if you’re already a UK2.net customer, or create an account if you’re new. Then proceed with payment.
7. 7. Domain name transfers can take up to a week to go through, but you can keep checking up on the progress by logging-in to your UK2 Control Panel and clicking on the Domains tab.
